  To continue my series on essential oils and their amazing uses (you can see my two previous posts here and here) I’m going to talk today about how freaking AMAZING Tea Tree Oil is. I could go on and on about everything that I’ve used Tea Tree Oil for.

To give you a bit of background, Tea Tree oil is a natural antiseptic and has been proven to kill certain strains of bacteria and fungi. Seriously. Don’t head to the doctor’s office the next time you’re dealing with a yeast overgrowth on your skin! Read on for 10 ways to use Tea Tree oil.

1. Make Your Own Hand Santitizer

Are you looking for a more natural alternative to that Bath and Body works hand sanitizer you have stashed away in your purse? Look no further! Here’s a great recipe from Everyday Roots. You can do it with quite a few essential oil mixtures, and she outlines the whole thing for you!

2. Get Rid of Fungus

Did you forget your flip flops at home and ended up with a nasty case of toenail fungus from the gym shower? Tea tree oil can help you out! Melt 1 cups of coconut oil into a mason jar and add about 10 drops of tea tree oil into the mixture. Apply this to the infected area in the morning and the evening. This also works for areas suffering from a yeast overgrowth.
